Arvo Pärt Days 2019

Baltic Sea Festival

A programme filled with pearls from the Baltic music scene : the biyearly Arvo Pärt Days promise to bring you unique moments of reflection, sacrality and spirituality. This second edition is dedicated to the music of the Estonian composer Arvo Pärt and to his exile in Berlin where he lived for nearly 30 years, on the run from the Soviet regime. We also celebrate the Finnish Presidency of the European Union with an evening with stunning choral works from Finland. Five days of concerts with premieres of new compositions, lectures by well-known writers who tell us about their relationship with Germany, meditation sessions, a photo exhibition and numerous films and documentaries.
